Building Physical Literacy Capacity Workshop @ Lakehead University, Conference Room A, Bartley Residence

This two-day, interactive workshop created by Sport for Life and delivered by Dr. Dawne Clark is designed to provide an increased understanding of physical literacy development in young children (0 to 6 years).

After completing the workshop, you will be able to:
1. Define physical literacy and the five principles
2. Describe the relationship between brain development
and physical literacy
3. Describe how relationships, environment, activities,
and equipment can support physical literacy
development in young children
4. Provide physical literacy mentorship to others

Please note: This event is intended for: Childcare Staff, Early Childhood Educators and Supervisors, Teachers, Recreation Providers, School Board Administrators, coaches, sports administrators and anyone who works with children in the early years.

The cost is $80 ($50 for students).

The event runs 8:30-4:30 on February 11th and 9:00-3:00pm on February 12th.
